Borderland's fan Surprised Gearbox Botched a Launch of One of Their Games

Updated: Apr 20, 2022

Frederick Johnson prepared himself for this day. As a fan of the Borderlands series, he was excited to see another title added to the library, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. He cuddled up with his claptrap plushie as he waited for the servers to officially open so he could play with his friends. He was especially excited because of this game's revolutionary feature: crossplay.

As an Xbox player, he has largely been ostracized from his friends as they are PlayStation players. One friend, who wished to remain anonymous gave the following statement,

"It's not that we don't like Fred, that's not the reason we don't invite him over for party's and poker nights. He's just .. different. He plays on Xbox and can be difficult to get along with."

But with Crossplay added he could finally play a game with his friends and not be left out. However, to his surprise, crossplay was suffering from lots of issues. He and his friend's attempted to play together but experienced multiple connectivity issues and even a few crashes. His friends gave him a gentle goodbye before Fred curled up on the floor clutching his Claptrap toy. He was heard yelling "I just wanted my friends to know how fun Borderlands is!" followed by intense sobbing and groaning. After following up with him he expressed to us the following "I just don't understand how gearbox could've ever messed up this bad! I can't remember the last time they did anything wrong. But this has crossed so many lines. I don't know if I'll ever trust them again"

Fred was later seen knocking on the door of his friend's house asking if he wanted to play split screen with him.
